1 Onion
500g Simply Better Irish Angus Rib Steak Beef Mince
2 Cloves of Garlic, crushed
2 tbsp Fresh Parsley, Chopped
2 Tsp Simply Better Expertly Blended Garlic & Herb Seasoning
2 tsp Ground Cumin
1 tsp Simply Better Sweet Paprika
½ tsp Simply Better Greek Oregano
½ tsp Simply Better Saigon Cinnamon
100g Simply Better Authentic Greek Yogurt
1tbsp Tahini
Zest & Juice of ½ a Lemon
1tsp Simply Better Garlic Granules
1tbsp Fresh Parsley, chopped

Spiced Beef Arayes (Pitas)

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp Simply Better Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 Pack Simply Better Mini Greek Pita’s
  • 1 Onion
  • 500g Simply Better Irish Angus Rib Steak Beef Mince
  • 2 Cloves of Garlic, crushed
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley, Chopped
  • 2 Tsp Simply Better Expertly Blended Garlic & Herb Seasoning
  • 2 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1 tsp Simply Better Sweet Paprika
  • ½ tsp Simply Better Greek Oregano
  • ½ tsp Simply Better Saigon Cinnamon
  • 100g Simply Better Authentic Greek Yogurt
  • 1 tbsp Tahini
  • Zest & Juice of ½ a Lemon
  • 1 tsp Simply Better Garlic Granules
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • Simply Better Achill Island Sea Salt
  • 2 tsp Simply Better Lemon Harissa Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Simply Better Garlic & Herb Seasoning
  • 2 tbsp Simply Better Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Method

  1. Grate the onion and place in some clean kitchen towel or a clean cloth and squeeze until all the moisture has been removed. Then place in a bowl.
  2. Combine the beef mince, garlic, parsley and all the spices in a bowl, mix well and season generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  3. Make the harissa oil by combining all of the ingredients together in a bowl and set aside.
  4. Cut 2 of the pita’s in half and stuff with the spiced mince filling.
  5. Preheat your BBQ to a medium heat, cook the pitas meat side down to seal. Brush the pita with the harissa oil and keep turning and brushing with the oil until cooked through, this should take about 5-10 minutes depending on the heat of your BBQ. If the pitas are taking on too much colour, wrap in tinfoil to protect for the last few minutes of cooking.
  6. Make the yoghurt dip by mixing the yogurt, tahini, lemon, garlic, parsley and salt in a bowl.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy.
