Oyster Bay produces wines from the renowned regions of Marlborough and Hawke's Bay.
Producer - Oyster Bay Wines New Zealand Ltd.
Regional Information - The Marlborough region, nestled at the tip of New Zealand's South Island, enjoys an extended growing season that helps us to create our extraordinary cool climate Pinot Noir. From the first planting in 1973, Marlborough has matured to produce some of New Zealand's best Pinot Noir. The combination of warm sunny days and cool nights make Marlborough's climate ideal for growing the famously temperamental grape.
Vinification Details - Fruit is picked from select vineyards to provide blending components for more complexity. After pre-fermentation maceration, grape must is inoculated with yeast cultures. The open ferment is hand plunged multiple times a day and a portion of run off completes fermentation in French oak barriques. After maceration, the wine is pressed off for malolactic fermentation. The wine is then matured for one year and racked prior to final blending. This technique enhances the wine, adding subtlety and vibrancy.
Winemaker - Michael Ivicevich

Wine Colour
Colour - Red

Storage Type
Ambient

Recommended Storage
Storage Type - To enjoy this wine at its best, drink within <> of purchase.

Origin
Wine of New Zealand

Country
Country of Origin - New Zealand

Company Name
Delegat Europe Limited

Company Address
London,
EC4A 1LT,
UK.

Web Address
www.oysterbaywines.com

Return To
Delegat Europe Limited,
London,
EC4A 1LT,
UK.
www.oysterbaywines.com

Of water and wine, and of generations of family working with nature. Adorning every label on every bottle is a simple symbol - a circle of rocks that signify the pure spring in the Rapaura Springs home vineyard in the heart of Marlborough. Rohe, meaning territory in Te Reo Māori, is a range of wines that showcase Marlborough's sub-regions and share a unique perspective on a remarkable region.
Producer - Rapaura Springs
Regional Information - The soils in the Awatere are complex, encompassing a matrix of shallow to moderately deep silty loams, with pockets of sand, gravel and clay on higher terraces.
The sub-region is drier and cooler with plenty of low vigour sites, well suited to Pinot Noir.
Vinification Details - The fruit for this wine was harvested from low-vigour clay terrace vineyards. The fruit was cold soaked for five days prior to fermentation, a small portion was fermented as whole bunch. After fermentation, the must was pressed and the wine aged for ten months in French oak, including 15% of new oak, prior to blending and bottling.
Winemaker - Mike Bann and Matt Thomson

Wine Colour
Colour - Red

Storage Type
Ambient

Recommended Storage
Storage Type - This wine can be drunk now but will further improve if carefully stored for up to <>

Safety Statements
Pregnancy Warning

Origin
Wine of New Zealand

Country
Country of Origin - New Zealand

Company Name
Dunnes Stores

Company Address
Dublin 2,
D02 RX86,
IRE.

Return To
Dunnes Stores,
Dublin 2,
D02 RX86,
IRE.
