Which way is North?
You'll need:
A paper clip
A leaf
A compass (to check)

Make you own compass
1 Slurp a super smoothie. They help your natural defences* so you'll be ready for an adventure.
2 Straighten out a paperclip.
Ask an adult to help
3 Run a magnet along the paperclip 10-15 times.
Always do it in the same direction
4 Place the paperclip on a leaf and put it on the surface of a puddle (or a bowl of water if you're indoors).
5 The paperclip should spin towards north. If not repeat step three.

Fun fact
Compasses don't actually point to the spot known as the North Pole. They find something called magnetic north, which is hundreds of miles south of it. Just in case you fancied a trek.

Super spiders
Spiders are known for making people shudder, but there's a reason they inspired a superhero
Their webs are a superpower that can help them hear, catch food, travel around and even win the hearts of other spiders with a special silk scent.
They're different shapes depending on what sort of spider made them. Keep an eye out for these ones when you're out and about but be careful not to break them. You might have a grumpy critter on your hands.

This super smoothie won't turn you into a spider (thankfully), but it can give your body lots of the stuff it needs to be just as super - without having to scare anyone.

Fun fact
Spiders eat their webs daily to get back some of the energy they spent spinning them.

Inside out

You might not know it, but while you're sticking your smoothie carton in the recycling and going about your day, a lot of good stuff's getting to work on your body. Follow your super smoothie's journey to find out what's going on in there.

1 After you swallow your smoothie, it travels through your stomach and into your small intestine.
2 The vitamins and nutrients make their way into your bloodstream through little tunnels called capillaries.
3 Your blood's like a motorway for good stuff. The nutrients zip along it to get where they're needed.

Iron helps oxygen race around your body to reach your lungs.
Vitamin C travels to your immune system and cells, to help keep you in tip-top health.
Vitamin D heads to your bones, teeth and muscles, to help them stay strong.
Now you're ready to take on the world, Or maybe just solve that tricky question.

Birds of a feather
Birds might look quite similar at a glance, but they're pretty different when it comes to their smart ways of surviving in the wild (none of which involve drinking this smoothie, surprisingly).
