DESCRIPTION

This Pinot Grigio is the result of a careful selection made by the Castellani Family in Le Venezie area that covers the regions of Veneto and Friuli. Pinot Grigio grapes have certainly found their home of choice in this area in Northeast Italy.

With chalk and clay soils, occasionally scattered with rocks, the vineyard has an excellent location. With the world renowned Michel Rolland as a consultant the vines are today under the control of Mr and Mrs Richard. Their practice of 'culture raisonnée' prohibits weed killers and strictly limits chemical processes.

The small, pinkish -gray-skinned grape flourishes in delicate sunshine of this sub-Alpine region reaching an unparalleled quality. The soft crushed grapes are processed at low temperatures and when fermented the wine is stored in tanks at a constant low temperature before bottling.
