DESCRIPTION

This estate is located in the illustrious St Emilion region, one of Bordeaux's most prestigious appellations. With just ten hectares to manage, winemaker Monsieur Richard can lavish great care of his vines. Château Tour Bayard is an exceptional property who's vines enjoy day-long exposure to the sun.

With chalk and clay soils, occasionally scattered with rocks, the vineyard has an excellent location. With the world renowned Michel Rolland as a consultant the vines are today under the control of Mr and Mrs Richard. Their practice of 'culture raisonnée' prohibits weed killers and strictly limits chemical processes.

The grapes are handpicked, sorted parcel by parcel, vinified separately and estate bottled to ensure high quality. Extensive tastings determine the ultimate blend that best represent a wine worthy of the terroir.
