DESCRIPTION
Château Gigognan is a historic, family-owned estate in the southern Rhône Valley, with origins dating back to Roman times. Once a temple for travellers and later a priory under the Archbishop of Avignon, it has evolved into a respected wine estate that still welcomes visitors today.
The vineyard spans around 110 hectares and is farmed using organic and biodynamic practices, reflecting a strong focus on sustainability and terroir expression. Located just 10 km from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the estate benefits from ideal conditions for producing high-quality Rhône wines.
Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines are aged in wooden barrels for 18 months where the main grape variety, Grenache, can express itself as its best.
