Follow on milk is only for babies over 6 months, as part of a healthy, varied diet. It should not be used as a breastmilk substitute before 6 months and should be used on the advice of a health care professional. The decision to start weaning, especially before 6 months, should be made only on the advice of a health care professional responsible for maternal and child care, based on your baby's individual needs. Introduce a cup from 6 months and avoid prolonged contact of milk feeds with your baby's teeth. Store unopened can in a cool, dry place (do not refrigerate). After opening, keep airtight and continue to store in a cool dry place. Use contents within 4 weeks.<br/><br/><b>Preparation and Usage</b><br/>Preparing your baby's feed<br/>
Because powdered milks are not sterile, failure to follow instructions may make your baby ill.<br/>

This information is a guide only. Once weaning has been established, at around 6 months, we recommend 500-600ml of Nannycare Follow On Milk per day as part of your baby's balanced, varied diet. Every baby is different and your baby may need more or less. Ask a healthcare professional if you need more advice.<br/>
<br/>
1 Wash your hands and sterilise all equipment according to manufacturer's instructions.<br/>
2 Boil 1 litre of fresh tap water. Leave to cool for no more than 30 minutes (the temperature needs to be at least 70°C). Do not use water that is artificially softened or has been boiled before. Pour 210ml of water (see feeding guide) into a sterilised beaker. Be careful of scalding.<br/>
3 Using only the scoop provided, lightly fill with powder and level off with the leveller that is built into the rim of the tin. Add 7 level scoops of powder.<br/>
4 Place the sterilised lid on the beaker and shake well until the powder is fully dissolved.<br/>
5 Cool the beaker under a running cold tap until it is lukewarm. Test the temperature on the inside of your wrist. Feed immediately.<br/>

- Always add one level scoop of powder (4.3g) to each 30ml of cooled, boiled water.<br/>
- For hygiene reasons, do not store made up feeds.<br/>
- Use feeds within 2 hours at most.<br/>
- Always use freshly boiled and cooled water.<br/>
- Always discard unfinished feeds.<br/>
- Make up each feed as required.<br/>
- Do not heat in a microwave as hot spots may occur and cause scalding.<br/>
- Do not add extra scoops of powder, or anything else to your baby's feed.<br/>
