Ingredients
180g butter, softened
60g light brown sugar
150g caster sugar
50g condensed milk
1 egg & 1 egg yolk
210g plain flour
¾ teaspoon baking powder
¾ teaspoon table salt
Zest of 1 orange

1 tub vanilla ice cream
Directions

You will need:

1 x 20cm non-stick frying pan

 

INGREDIENTS

      • 180g butter, softened
      • 60g light brown sugar
      • 150g caster sugar
      • 50g condensed milk
      • 1 egg & 1 egg yolk
      • 210g plain flour
      • ¾ teaspoon baking powder
      • ¾ teaspoon table salt
      • Zest of 1 orange
      • 100g Dunnes Stores Baking at Home Dark Chocolate Chips
      • 1 tub vanilla ice cream

 

METHOD

    1. Butter the frying pan for baking.
    2. For the cookie, mix together the softened butter, sugars and condensed milk until well mixed, then add the egg and egg yolk and mix again until combined.
    3. Stir in the flour, baking powder, salt, orange zest and most of the chocolate chips, saving a few to garnish.
    4. Spread the cookie mix into the prepared pan, and smooth the top with the back of a spoon. Sprinkle over the remaining chocolate chips and press them into the top of the cookie. Place into the oven to bake at 190ºC /170ºC fan for 20 - 25 minutes.
    5. Leave to cool for at least 10 minutes before serving with scoops of vanilla ice cream in the middle of the cookie and some extra orange zest.
