History - Chateau de Berne is situated in the oldest area of wine production in France (vines were planted by the Romans 2600 years ago). The estate has a long and remarkable history - established over 300 years ago, it is situated on a fork of the Aurelian Way - a Roman road formerly linking Italy and Spain, a trading post for wines. The amphoras used to transport the precious beverage were made on site, as witnessed by the ancient kiln in the grounds.
Producer - Chateau de Berne
Regional Information - Château de Berne is nestled in the rolling hills of Provence, one hour from Saint-Tropez, but it's a world away from the glitz of Provence's famous seaside playground. Arriving at Château de Berne via wild & rugged forests and olive groves is a sensory experience, and immediately visitors feel immersed in this unique, lesser known corner of Provence.
