History - WHEN YOU KNOW WINE, YOU KNOW MCGUIGAN Proudly Australian with over 100 years of winemaking heritage, McGuigan has built a legacy on one simple belief -great wine should be enjoyed, not overthought. No pretense. No snobbery. Just quality you can count on. That attitude has made McGuigan one of Australia’s most iconic and trusted wine brands. We’re known for crafting wines that consistently overdeliver - on flavour, on value, and on the moments that matter.
Producer - Australian Vintage (UK) Ltd
Regional Information - The fruit is selected from various vineyards mainly in the Murray Darling region. The climate is hot with high evaporation rates & generally low rainfall making irrigation essential. The climate is also continental, resulting in long sunny days and noticeably cooler nights. Modern viticultural & winemaking techniques mean that the climate can be seen as one of the region's strengths.
Vinification Details - The fruit was crushed, de-stemmed and immediately clarified. Fermentation followed after inoculating with selected yeast strains. Fermentation was carried out at cool temperature to preserve the fruit flavours. Fermentation lasted for 2 weeks. Post fermentation the wine was racked of the ferment lees and remained on light lees until blended.
