Regional Information - The origin of this wine is an ancient sub-tropical sea. Today the fertile soils and warm climate ensure healthy and ripe grapes. The combination between the good water retention and warming properties of this special Löss soil encourages aroma development and gives very elegant wines.
Vinification Details - Only healthy and ripe grapes from specially selected vineyard sites are picked. After removing the stems for the maceration on the skins, fermentation with specially selected yeast strains took 12 days at temperatures of 20°C to enhance colour and the typical red-fruity and herbal-spicy character. After gentle pressing, settling and malolactic fermentation the wine spent more than 3 months on the fine lees to obtain a perfect balance between its fruity nose, round body and an intense, long lasting finish.
