Cooking Guidelines
Boil - From Ambient - Place potatoes into a saucepan, cover with water and place lid on. Bring to the boil then reduce heat and simmer for approx. 20 minutes or until cooked.
Drain and serve.
Cooking Instructions - General - Cook with Love
Maris Piper is an excellent all rounder potato with its delightful floury texture and unique taste. It can be used in all potato dishes but is exceptionally delicious when roasted.
Deep Fry - From Ambient - Peel and cut into chips, wash and dry well. Fry at 170°C/325°F until soft and lightly coloured, drain well and allow to cool. Then increase temp to 190°C/375°F and fry quickly until crisp and golden. Drain and serve.
Microwave - From Ambient - Remove packaging. Cook 180g of potatoes for 4 to 5 minutes at 1000W. Unpeeled potatoes should be pricked well. (please refer to your manufacturer's instructions booklet as models may vary).
Oven cook - From Ambient - Boil as above but simmer for only 8 to 10 minutes. Drain and shake over a low heat. Preheat 3 to 4 tbsp of sunflower or olive oil in roasting tin in oven and when hot carefully turn the potatoes in the oil to coat well. Season with salt and roast for 30 minutes at 220°C/425°F/Gas mark 7 until golden.
Steam - From Ambient - Peel potatoes and place in a steamer. Place a close fitting lid on the steamer and steam for 30 to 35 minutes.
