2023 The Big Christmas Giveaway Terms and Conditions

1. The Big Christmas Giveaway (the Competition) is being run by Dunnes Stores Unlimited Company [the Promoter] and is open to residents of the Republic of Ireland aged 18 or over, excluding employees of the Promoter and their immediate families, agents or anyone professionally connected with the Competition.

Competition Entry

2. The competition consists of four (4) Weekly Draws and one (1) Overall Draw which take place from Monday 27 November to Sunday 24 December 2023 inclusive [the Entry Period].

3. All entry instructions form part of the rules.

4. To enter the Competition VALUEclub members must have a Dunnes Stores App account with an up to date mobile phone number and email address and:

a. Use their Dunnes Stores App or physical VALUEclub card in a Dunnes Stores shopping transaction within Republic of Ireland during the Entry Period or

b. The transaction may be at any till in any Dunnes Stores outlet within Republic of Ireland or in the Dunnes Stores App or online via www.dunnesstoresgrocery.com or www.dunnesstores.com ensuring a VALUEclub number is entered in the corresponding customer online account before order placement.

5. Maximum of one competition entry to each Weekly Draw per week and one entry for the Overall Draw, per customer, per Dunnes Stores App account, VALUEclub number, mobile phone number and/or email address.

6. By entering the Competition you are accepting these Competition Terms and Conditions and you agree to: Dunnes Stores using your VALUEclub account name, mobile number and email address for the purposes of entering you in to the Competition Draws and for contacting you in the event that you are a winner. Dunnes Stores displaying your name and image on promotional materials in-store, online, social media and in upcoming VALUEclub mailings in the event that you are a winner. have accepted and be bound by the rules.

7. Prizes for each Weekly Draw consist of one €200 Dunnes Stores egift card per Dunnes Stores outlet and Dunnes Stores App Voucher Prizes.

8. Prizes for the Overall Draw consist of 5 x €1,000 Click & Go Holiday Voucher and a €10,000 Dunnes Stores gift card.

9. Winners may be asked to correctly answer a test of skill question in order to claim the prize.

10. All prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and non-refundable and no cash alternative will be available in any circumstances.

Overall Draw Prizes – €10,000 Dunnes Stores Gift Card & Click&Go Holiday Vouchers

11. Overall Prize winners will be notified by phone. Two attempts will be made to contact the winner using the mobile phone number on the winner’s VALUEclub account. If the winner cannot be contacted after two attempts over a two-day period, the prize will be deemed to be unclaimed and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to a substitute winner selected in accordance with the Competition rules. Winners may be asked to correctly answer a test of skill question in order to claim the prize. Winners of draws that take place on weekends or public holidays may not be notified until the next business day.

12. Overall Draw Prize winners will need to confirm their current postal address for the purpose of issuing their prize and this postal address will be retained in their VALUEclub account.

13. Winners may be invited to participate in publicity with a member of the Dunnes Stores team.

14. €1,000 Holiday Voucher Prizes will be given to winners as one €1,000 Click & Go Holiday Voucher code Click & Go Holiday Voucher  Terms and Conditions apply.

16. Dunnes Stores has no responsibility or liability for the fulfilment or performance of the Holiday Voucher Offer. Fulfilment of the Holiday Vouchers will be carried out by SimplySun Limited trading as Click&Go.

17. Dunnes Stores may need to share the Click&Go Holiday Vouchers recipient's name and contact details with SimplySun Limited trading as Click&Go for the purpose of fulfilling the Offer.

18. €10,000 Dunnes Stores Gift Card will be given to the winner as ten (10x) €1,000 Dunnes Stores gift cards. Gift card  terms and Conditions apply.

19. Dunnes Stores App Voucher Prizes will be given to winners as Shop & Save threshold vouchers and are subject to the following conditions: Dunnes Stores App Voucher Prizes will be loaded into the winner’s Dunnes Stores App account and a copy will be sent to winners by email if a valid email address is available. Dunnes Stores App Voucher Prizes can be redeemed in-store in the Republic of Ireland and cannot be redeemed online. Voucher valid on qualifying grocery items. The following products are excluded from the minimum transaction spend and will not be considered to be part of the qualifying transaction amount: alcohol, tobacco products, medicines, lottery products, infant milk formula, checkout bags, saving stamps and/or mobile top-up and/or any other products which are excluded by Dunnes Stores from time to time. Dunnes Stores App Voucher prizes are subject to validity dates and cannot be extended once expired. This voucher can be redeemed with up to eight other Shop & Save vouchers once the combined qualifying spend is met. No change given.

20. €200 Dunnes Stores Gift Card Weekly Prizes will be emailed to winners as one €200 Dunnes Stores e-gift card. EGift card terms and conditions apply. EGift Cards will be sent to winners by email using the email address on the winner’s VALUEclub account. Entrants should check their spam or junk folder to check if they have won an e-gift card.

General Rules

21. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage or consequential damage of any nature in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise caused by acceptance of the terms and conditions or in connection with the prize including as a result of any entrant winning or not winning the prize (to the extent permissible by law). The winner will be chosen at random from all entries received during the Entry Periods.

22. The decision of the Promoter is final and binding in all matters and no correspondence will be entered into.

23. The Promoter reserves the right to terminate, amend and extend the Competition in wholly exceptional circumstances outside of its control. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions.

24. In the event that any provision of these terms and conditions or any specific terms and conditions are held to be illegal, invalid, void or otherwise unenforceable, it shall be severed from the remaining provisions which shall continue in full force and effect.

25. These terms and conditions shall be governed by Irish law and the courts of the Republic of Ireland shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

26. No entries from agents, third parties, organised groups or entries automatically generated by computer will be accepted. No late, incomplete, or corrupted entries will be accepted. Entries will only be accepted if they comply with all entry instructions.
