Producer - Domaines BONFILS
Regional Information - Château Fourchou is a property including 40 hectares of vines located near the famous and picturesque village of Saint-Emilion, in the department of the Gironde.
Vinification Details - Harvesting takes place when the grapes have attained maturity. The Merlot offers fine fruit characters, thanks to perfect maturity drawn from sun exposure, while the Cabernet-Sauvignon is indispensable to the wine's structural balance. The wine is made in the traditional manner in stainless steel vats with the grapes being destemmed and with temperature controlled fermentation. The pressed wine is matured in separate vats and reincorporated in proportions determined by successive tastings.
