Cooking Guidelines
Hob - From Chilled - 1. Remove meat from packaging
2. Place in pot of cold water and place on a medium heat
3. Bring to a rolling boil
4. Reduce heat to a simmer and simmer for 45mins per kg plus 20 mins over.
5. Remove meat from water and allow to rest before carving.
Oven cook - From Chilled - 1. Preheat oven to 180°C, Gas mark 4 or 350°F
2. Remove meat from packaging
3. Place in oven proof dish and pour in enough hot water to come up 20mm on the bacon.
4. Cover tightly with tin foil or a tight-fitting lid
5. Place in oven and allow to steam for 50 mins per kg plus 20 mins over.
6. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before removing tin foil or lid.
7. Remove meat from water and allow to rest.
8. Carve and enjoy
