Cooking Guidelines
Oven cook - From Chilled - Cooking times will vary with appliances, the following are guidelines only. Remove all packaging and allow the chop to come up to room temperature for 15 minutes.
Set the butter disc and the rosemary to one side and drizzle with a little olive oil before cooking.
180°C, Fan 160°C, Gas 4, 20 mins.
- Preheat oven.
- While the oven is heating up preheat an oven-proof pan over high heat.
- Sear the chop on both sides, add the butter and rosemary, and baste.
- Transfer the pan with the meat to the middle shelf of the oven and cook for the time indicated. Remove from the oven and transfer the meat to a chopping board.
Caution:
Take care when removing from the oven as the handle of the pan will be extremely hot.
Preparation and Usage
A guide to cooking the perfect chop!
1 Allow your chop to come up to room temperature for a minimum of 15 minutes before you cook it.
2 Sear the chop on both sides over a high heat to seal in all the juices and flavours.
3 Transfer the chop to a preheated oven and cook for the time indicated.
4 Allow your chop to rest for 5 minutes and carve into slices with the resting juices poured over.
Serving Suggestion: Allow chop to rest for 5 minutes.
For best results, remove the chop completely from the bone once rested, cut into thick slices and pour over the juices that remain in the pan.
Ensure product is piping hot throughout.
Do not reheat.
