History - In 1988, the young Jean-Noël Bousquet bought 24 hectares of vines in the heart of the Corbières and set up as an independent winegrower. Over the years, the vineyard grew and JeanNoël modernized his winemaking tools. In 1999, the vines were devastated by a flood. Thanks to the support of his friends and family, the estate was rebuilt and, in 2014, his son Frédéric decided to join the adventure. After more than six years in Canada, it was time for him to start a new life and keep the family passion alive.
Producer - Frédéric Bousquet Earl
Regional Information - Middle Terrace of Orbieu River at Luc-sur-Orbieu.
Stretched 20 metres above the Orbieu River, the middle terrace is a deposit of materials left by the floods during the great glaciations. It has an irreguler toniness: the layers of pebbles give way to clays or silts. The soil is deep and fertile, benefiting from water from the terrace above; the vines can plunge their roots there as they like.
Vinification Details - Sorting on arrival in the cellar. Maceration of the skins. Cold settling. Maximum vinification temperature of 16°C.
Ageing on stainless steel vats to preserve the fruity character of the wine. 3 rackings (filtration) with aeration.
