History - The Bend in the River portrays an aspirational, lifestyle brand which exemplifies style and appeals to discerning consumers who want the good things in life - great taste coupled with contemporary, classic design. The Bend in the River takes its name from the majestic River Rhine at the beginning of the beautiful gorge section of the middle Rhine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At this point it meanders its thoughtful way past the small town of Bingen, the home of The Bend in the River.
Producer - Reh Kendermann GmbH
Regional Information - A combination of selected grapes from key wine-growing areas within the European Community.
Vinification Details - The grapes are pressed immediately after picking in order to retain all fruity characters. A brief period of skin contact ensures that the wine obtains its pale pink colour. The Bend in the River Pink is then fermented at around 16°C / 61°F for 3 weeks in stainless steel tanks. The wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation.
