History - In 13th century Europe, the term “Apotheca” referred to a winemaker's sanctuary for crafting and storing their unique blends. Apothic Winemaker, Debbie Juergenson, carries on this tradition through Apothic; blending the most distinctive California grape varietals to craft each vintage of her captivating wines. Her bold blends challenge wine conventions delivering flavours that intrigue wine drinkers, whilst their silky-smooth style brings new users into the category.

Regional Information - Our 2020 Apothic Merlot is a silky, approachable red wine grown in California.
Vinification Details - The majority of the Merlot and Teroldego for this wine was sourced from the Lodi region of Central California. We selected Merlot grapes for their dark fruit intensity and generous tannins to create a velvety mouthfeel. Portions of this wine were oak-aged for 3-4 months to preserve elegant fruit characteristics.
