To help prevent this, lightly coat the foil with cooking oil prior to cooking or storing food. Avoid contact with acidic foods (e.g. citrus fruits and rhubarb).
Before using in a microwave oven, consult the manufacturer's handbook. Allow food to cool completely before wrapping it to store in a fridge or freezer. Storing food in metal containers covered with foil is not advisable. Do not re-use foil. Sharp cutting edge. Handle with care.
