Cooking Guidelines
Cooking Instructions - General - Cooking times will vary with appliances, the following are guidelines only.
Deep Fry - From Ambient - 190°C/400°F 8-10 mins.
- Preheat oil to the required temperature as indicated above.
- Peel and chip potatoes.
- Rinse in cold water and dry thoroughly.
- Place in he deep fat fryer and cook for time indicated above.
- Drain and serve.
Hob - From Ambient - 20 mins.
- Place in a saucepan of boiling water, return to the boil and simmer for time shown.
- Drain and serve.
Microwave - From Ambient - 650W 10-12 mins. 750W 9-11 mins. 850W 8-10 mins.
- Prick potatoes with a fork.
- Place onto a microwaveable plate and cook for times indicated.
- Allow to stand for 1 minute.
Oven cook - From Ambient - Roast
200°C/400°F/Gas Mark 6 48 mins.
- Place the peeled potatoes in a saucepan of boiling water, return to the boil and simmer for 8 minutes.
- Drain thoroughly.
- Place potatoes in a pre-heated roasting tin containing vegetable oil, turning after 20 minutes.
- Cook for a further 20 minutes until golden brown.
200°C/400°F/Gas Mark 6 45 mins.
- Preheat oven to required temperature shown above.
- Prick potatoes with a fork and put onto a baking tray and place directly on the middle shelf of the oven and cook for time indicated.
Steam - From Ambient - 20 mins.
- Place the peeled or washed potatoes into a steamer of boiling water.
- Cover steamer with lid and cook for time indicated above.
- Serve.
