Defrost throughly in refrigerator 28-40 hours before use, ensuring there is no ice crystals in the body cavity. Once defrosted, use within 24 hours and do not refreeze it.
Preparation and Usage
Cooking Instructions
Always cook from chilled. The following are guidelines only. Some appliances may vary. Remove all packaging before cooking. It is recommended that stuffing is cooked separately.
To oven cook: Preheat oven to 190°C/Fan 170°C/Gas Mark 5.
Place turkey crown in a large roasting tin and cover loosely with foil. Cook in the centre of the oven for 20 minutes per 500g plus 30 minutes, basting occasionally during cooking.
Remove foil for the last 30 minutes of cooking time.
Pierce the deepest part of the turkey crown with a knife or skewer to check if the juices run clear. If the juices are pink, return turkey to the oven and check every 15 minutes until juices run clear.
Once cooked, re-cover turkey crown with foil and allow to stand for 10-15 minutes before carving.
Ensure food is piping hot, cooked throughout, juices run clear and no pink colour remains before serving. Do not reheat.
